MINI-MAP Custom Colors & Transparency Why? So you can still see the sim when Mega Prims just hides everything. File locations on your computer: Silver skin - Regular Viewer: In \Program Files\SecondLife\skins\silver, create colors.xml if there isn't one, else edit it. RC Viewer: In \Program Files\SecondLifeReleaseCandidate\skins\silver, create colors.xml if there isnt one, else edit it. Default skin - \Program Files\SecondLife\skins\default\colors.xml Remember each time there is new viewer upgrade, the file will be overwritten, so keep a copy of the file in the same folder (I named mine copy_colors.xml) The colors.xml specify changes to the default Mini-Map colors ... AND also transparency. What we can do in the file is set the Mini-Map display so that objects and/or megaprims etc are more transparent, so you can still see the sim. I used the default colors, just made everything 50% transparent. (R,G,B, transparency)
